Story In A Box

Buttons 'n Bows
Good Morning boyz and girlz and keep those comments on the Truth or Spoof Contest coming in because the pot has gotten a little sweeter and you have until the end of this month to enter.

I am shamefully admitting to being a lurker in the past and at one of the great blogs, Awfully Big Art Adventures I always get excited about their challenges and think I'll get in on them but before the time is up I've procrastinated and missed the deadline but this time I DID it!
The challenge for the month is "Story In A Box" and I had been humming a tune from an old song recorded even before I was born and this just went on for days and days until I could stand it no more and had to look it up to learn that it was recorded first by Dinah Shore in the '30's and I think several others did it and that it may have been the theme of one of the westerns. So time to make my story in a box and that ding dang song was all I could think of. So here is Buttons n Bows in a box.

I made my gal wearing buckskins and toting a gun for the top in the style of Claudine Helmuth as she is a shelf sitter from roofing tin, sitting atop papers I have altered for a leathery look and on the inside the stage is set for a purty lil gal who feels like a lady in silks, satins, rings and things and she's all yours in Button's 'n Bows. She goes on to say that "east is east and west is west and the wrong road I have chose"............... maybe this is why I couldn't shake the song because I have certainly taken the wrong roads many times over my lifetime. But not THIS time as I'm happy as a pig in sunshine here with Punkin Darlin just doing my thing.

So hop on over and check out Linda and Rosie's blog and link onto some of the other Story Box creations.
