What do you do with two little girls visiting from DALLAS when they're just plain tired of staying inside??????????????????????
SWIMMING.............did that
PICNIC...............that too
MOVIES................yep
SHOPPING.................oh yes
CRAFTS.................ditto
COOKING, SEWING, NAP TIME, VISITING RELATIVES, TV, GAMES, they did it all!
My great-granddaughter Erika and her hubby John from Dallas took a little fly by out to Vegas and my daughter Lori got to take care of her two granddaughters; Nayda and Ellie.

ELLIE
Well for nine days, between Lori and her sister Shari and Shari's grandkids, and nieces and nephews and on and on and on the girls were growing a wee bit bored from wanting something NEW to do and I think too they were missing Mommy and Daddy so Lori brought them to my house last week and we went very early one morning while it was way below 90 degrees in the shade and took them to the Duck Pond.

This body of water (bayou) is about 1/2 mile behind our house and runs about 2 miles in length and of course is home to ducks, geese and turtles. It's a landmark and I took my kids there when they were little and they took theirs and now they're taking their grandkids!
It's not unusual to see little ones bream fishing there with Grandpa and is also a favorite place for birthday parties.

The girls were delighted to feed all the ducks as they're so tame that anytime a car pulls up the ducks come up on land waiting on the kids to open those bread sacks.
It was a fun way to spend a morning and did me good to remember back to the days when these two girls grandmother, uncles and aunt used to play at this very place.
