A Serendipitous Saturday For A "Digi Newbie"

Did'ya ever have one of those days where nothing you did came out right? Like you weren't sure if you even wanted to be creative? Well I had one of those days yesterday. Yep, I spent a good part of the day with Shari in her stained glass studio and we were going to work independently on our projects and I made the biggest mess of what started as a soldered trinket box you ever saw. I blew my diet all to heck. I did not finish cleaning the pool, and I skimmed through the housework in record time to make it just a little better to look at than it did when we got up yesterday.

So imagine my great surprise last night when I sat down to this computer in sheer boredom and clicked on the photo program I had installed months ago ( I found it lying around several years ago and I'm sure it is one of the first ever to hit the market) but have not tried to learn how to do more than putting frames around images but I clicked here and clicked there, a little brush stoke there and some of this and some of that and before you knew it I had not one, not two but three little Digital Surprises that could be loosely referred to as "Digital Art". Maybe :)

This one was fun because now I can print it and do some words in crosswords fashion and then scan it and use it as an ATC or something.

I am not sure I really care too much for this one but I adore the colors although I could not begin to explain how I made it and it seems to have no relevance, but I couldn't figure out how to remove the birdcage girl.

And as usual I always save the thing I like most for the last. I was truly amazed at how quickly I completed this one and can actually remember how I achieved the look. I think I have figured this out.........ALL digital art regardless of how experienced the artist and how familiar you are with your program is going to come out somewhat a surprise. Right? Is this part of the fun of digitals? It was for me, but I'm a digi newbie.

All I can say is I'm digging this and today Punkin is going to a Gun Show and tomorrow he will be at the deer camp getting ready for hunting season so guess what mizmollye will be doing a lot of ???????????
Hope your weekend is filled with sweetness and maybe a little serendipity too.
