He's Got The Whole World In His Hands

Good Morning Ladies

My heart is heavy and sad though blessed with such a comfortable life. A loving family, good health, many talents and joys and friends both here and yon that I've met while blogging.

Life is good and I do not take it for granted. Saddened and moved by the agony and utter destruction caused by natural disasters of recent days, I feel so helpless.

We can send money and I'm sure each penny helps in a small way. At least I like to think it does but I cannot go to Samoa or anywhere else to actually and physically be of help.

These are human beings and we are called to love them and help them. I can pray. I think to pray is good. It can make me an active participant. I can also pray for myself that I might always feel as compassionate as I do today. To know humility and gratitude and forget the meaning of words like dissatisfaction and complaints. Aren't those small, small words in light of the big picture we've been seeing.

  1. I think even if a person isnt religious, but is spiritual and caring they can still pray, the power of the human spirit and mind is very strong I think, and good thoughts being sent out is a good thing! Suzie. xxx

  3. Molly, thank you for saying these things. I have been so very busy with life, family, friends, some tough issues in there, that I have not stopped to really see what is going on. I have heard in passing of the devastation, but have not stopped to pray. Thank you for the reminder that there is a bigger world around me, with fellow brothers and sisters that are suffering.

  6. Seems like it never ends does it? So much sadness, so much pain, too much of man's inhumanity and indifference to other men's suffering.Don't let it get you down. It is people like you who care who give the rest of us hope that it isn't all bad. Thank you for reminding us to pray for others and a Happy Pink Saturday to you Miz Mollye.

  8. Mollye,
Great post. Such timely words. Your compassion and reminder of the ways we can all support those in need is a message we all need to hear again and again and again. At some point in life, and usually more than once, it will be us who need the love and support of our fellowman through the sometimes turbulent waters of life.

    Bless your sweet, kind, heart...
