laissez les bon temps rouller!
Fat Tuesday or also known as Mardi Gras is upon us and winding down.
The partying ends at the stroke of midnight in preparation for Ash Wednesday and the beginning of the Lenten season of fast and penance.
Come back to the Lord with all your heart;
leave the past in ashes,
and turn to God with tears and fasting,
for he is slow to anger and ready to forgive.
Joel 2:12,13
Then 46 days later the world is new, bright and fresh. A new beginning. A cleansing of the heart and of the soul.
EASTER will be here and what a glorious day!
I would like to host an Easter Swap this year and for those of you who may not have participated in one before you don't know what you've missed. They are so much fun.
I will write more about it on Friday the 20th of February with all the info.
Be watching!....And now for today Get Your Party On.
Cause tomorrow we ALL must behave!
Great Post Mollye.

I sure do love that mask! Never been to MardiGras, so I've been a Vicarious PartyGal through YOU! The first time I knew about Ash Wednesday...a customer came into my shop, and I promptly licked my finger and started cleaning that black spot off her forehead. I was soooo embarrased...such an uninformed Southern Baptist. Now Easter...I got that, and I'm in...just tell me when!
ReplyDeleteHey Ms. Mollye...count me in for a swap!!! We are actually going to a Fat Tuesday celebration downtown tonight. Can't wait...

Good Morning Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteA couple of posts ago, I too mentioned an Easter Swap. I so wanted to be included in one, I figured the only way I could do that was to host one myself. I think I have 4 or 5 ladies that are interested. Would you want to combine and do one together? I would so love that. I don't think anyone has done that before. We would be advertising on both blogs? Could help each other match up? Just a thought sweetie. Let me know.
I want to know who got the baby in their piece of the King Cake. I had a friend that used to live out here, she was from Louisiana, and every year her sweet Moma would send us a King Cake. Really great sweet bread. Loved it.
Have a beautiful day sweetie. Country hugs and so much love...Sherry
Mollye... fun post! I love Louisiana SO much!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fat Tuesday!
