  2. I watched in horror and sadness as my beloved New Orleans was flooded! The return is slow and the government has forgotten those who lost all.

  3. It is unbelievable that we live in a county that is supposed to be so powerful this many people can still be suffering. I have watched all the rememberances on TV. Blessings to all there.

  4. I know sweetie, I can't believe it has been 5 years! My Husband worked down there for many months and came home only a few times! It was horrible and is etched in my heart!

    Hugs to you!

  5. I wanted to go and help with the recovery efforts, but without transportation, it was impossible. I was most saddened by the way the government's watchdog (FEMA) along with local officials treated the condition. I will never forget seeing Bush in the airplane high above the disaster, and all the destroyed school buses that could have helped in the evacuation. I'm glad they are showing specials to remind us of the devastation.

  7. WE WILL NEVER FORGET EVEN WHEN OUR GOVERNMENT DOES! MY HEART IS STILL SAD FOR ALL THAT DEVASTATION AND THE CRUEL TREATMENT THE GOVERNMENT GAVE THE PEOPLE THEN AND TODAY STILL. BLESSINGS TO EVERYONE.
