A PICTURE IS WORTH .....................

A Thousand Words at least!

This is a shot of Punkin Darlin, AKA Mike AKA Poppa to all the great grandkids with the youngest of the bunch Luke who will be three in January!

And since I didn't have my pictures downloaded when I wrote my last post, I thought I'd show you what I've been talking about!

This is the new look into what was formerly referred to as the "art room" or the "studio" which will now be referred to as Mollye's Room (which I happen to still allow Punkin to keep his clothes in the closet in here)

To you it may still look full but it is minus 19 large moving boxes! For real...before you could not even tell what color the shelving was as they were jammed full and there were plastic storage boxes stacked on top of each all around the room nearly to the top of the closet! Oh yes Sisters ... this is a major change!

And this.....is our new look in the bedroom. I'm just sayin............

Could it possible get any more Americana????????????????

I told you I was painting the old dreary dark scarred dining room table and chairs white and white they are and I love it. I re-covered the seating in a Cranberry Red corduroy but will be on the lookout for some fancy floral cushions to protect the solid red seats.

And now a look at the shelves and hutch painted white, whoops, I need to find my peach paint to touch up the wall here where the big wall shelves used to be! And oh my goodness is that a huge cobweb I see there? You just can't count of those Merry Maids this day and time can you.

And you can see I didn't stop with the white paint as I also gave a good coat to the little vintage 3-legged table in the living room. I hate drab and dark and this new lightness gave me some cheering up!

So that concludes my white make-over but before I sign out I wanted to give you a peek at my new short haircut. I went last week and got it all chopped off, but the hairdresser was afraid to go to short at first because of the shock! So she left it longer than I wanted. I'm going back in a couple of days and get lots of this fluff at the sides taken off. I am just not gonna be able to do the teasing this style requires to look right. I want fast and easy. Shampoo...blow dry... minimal curling iron curls...and comb out...fluff with fingers and lightly spray!

I don't know how others do it, but I cannot take a half-way decent picture of myself. I always look like a deer in the headlights and there's just something that doesn't feel quite right about asking someone to take your picture for you. Right? !!!!!
Catch ya later, Mizmollye

  1. What a difference a little paint will make. Everything turned out great! I'm all for fast and easy when it comes to hair - but then I don't have very much in the first place so it's fast and easy regardless. Have a great evening!

  15. White always makes everything seem fresh and light. I'm glad you did the makeover. Paint and sprucing up can do a great deal for the spirit. I'm sure this and the headstone have helped and allowed the healing to begin. Looks like you are back to your creative self.

IT IS A TERRIBLE THING TO HAVE HAPPEN TO YOU WHEN YOU ARE POOR ....BUT IT IS LIKE YOU SAID....I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED. WE GO IN TO THE BANK TODAY. I AM PRAYING THE HOUSE YOU BOUGHT FOR BUDDY WILL SELL QUICKLY...AND I WILL BE PRAYING FOR HIS MARRIAGE AND HIS FIL.
