DRESS UP 2010

Oh this was fun! It is to challenge you to make a "new dress" each month. No of course not a REAL dress, but a little fabric, paper, or otherwise creative artsy kinda dress. This was the first one I attempted but some of the other gals have been making them from the beginning and they are quite stunning. I had so much fun I was actually thinking of trying to play catch-up with everyone ahead of me!!

My little frock is made from sewing front and back wallpaper sample paper and stitching some pretty green netting to the skirt with a ribbon belt. And of course when I finished it, I had nowhere to put such a tiny dress, so you guessed it. I had to make a "closet". I chose a cigar box and added some tiny elements as drawers, boxes and then the sheets, bedding and purses on top!



C'mon you know you want to make one too!

    This is the first time I've been to your blog and I actually came to see that stunning box you made (in your next post). You are a natural when it comes to making dresses. I'm totally in love with it. And your dress closet is super. I'm still working on mine, so you are ahead of me.

    This dress is very creative. I've never sewn using wallpaper samples. You have inspired me. I simply can't tell you enough how glad I am to have found your blog. May I add you (errr....your blog) to my sidebar?
